What we see in North Topsail Beach

Most homes on the island sit well above grade on pilings, which means tall elevations, long stair runs and a lot of exterior to reach. We clean those from the ground and from the stairs and decks with extension equipment rather than leaning ladders on the siding, and we soft wash anything above the first floor so no high-pressure water is driven up under lap siding or trim.

Salt and wind-driven sand are constant. Salt film dulls siding and glass and attacks railings, hardware and outdoor light fixtures. Sand collects under the house, on every stair tread and across the parking pad. Leaving it means it grinds into the surface every time someone walks on it, so stairs and decks here wear faster than they need to.

A lot of property on the island is vacation rental. We schedule around the rental calendar, usually in spring before the season and in fall after it, and can coordinate keys and access with a rental manager if the owner is not local.

Getting here

North Topsail Beach is part of our regular Onslow County coverage, along with Sneads Ferry and Holly Ridge on the mainland side, so it is not treated as an out-of-area trip.
